| Initial Entry Students. Take the I-20 to the U.S. Embassy or Consulate in your country. We recommend you call first regarding appointments, fees, required documentation, and to make sure the consulate to which you are applying issues student visas.* Generally, you may not apply for a visa more than 90 (ninety) days prior to the intended start date of your studies. In addition, you may not enter the United States more than 30 (thirty) days prior to study. Initial entry students must prove to the U.S. Embassy that they have the required funds, intend to study, and will return home following the completion of their courses. |
